What's my level

Beginner

As a beginner surfer, you will have little to no experience with surfing or any other water sport. Your hour and a half lesson will be divided into on beach tutorials, practical surf education and in water practice before you progress to the next level. You will be surfing in the waist high white waters for your comfort and safety.

You will learn:

•   Ocean safety and awareness
•   Recognizing potential hazards both in nature and others around you
•   Surf etiquette
•   Surfboard mechanics
•   Proper paddling and press through techniques
•   Correct stance and body mechanics
•   How to maneuver your surfboard
•   Wave formations and surf conditions

Intermediate

As an intermediate surfer, you already have the knowledge of water safety and know how to stand up and maneuver your board in a safe way. You are also confident in your surfing and are ready to progress from the white waters to catching unbroken waves.

You will learn:

• Techniques to improve muscle memory
• Paddle efficiently using the “s” stroke used by many professionals
• How to turtle roll or duck dive
• Correct stance and body mechanics for green wave riding
• Timing and placement on the wave for more wave riding
• Board placement on the face of the wave and bottom turns
• Learn what board is best for you

Advanced

You are a confident surfer who is content with his/her surfing but wants to fine-tune some abilities. Using photography and video analysis (at an additional cost) and one on one in the water, advanced surfers will focus on specific weaknesses in their surfing.
